Wolfenstein 4 - Continued from Bethesda / Zenimax to work? - If the information on the website of a Swedish composers are true, Zenimax Sweden works on a new Wolfenstein part.
An entry in the portfolio of a freelance composer could be an indication that ZeniMax Sweden working on a new Wolfenstein title. (See pic)
Julian Beeston indicates on its website to be involved in a project of the company in 2013 MachineGames called "Wolfenstein." Machine Games is a relatively new studio that was founded by former Starbreeze staff and later acquired by Zenimax / Bethesda.
The domain wolfenstein.com was purchased from the original owner Activision, and now refers to Bethesda / Zenimax.

Julian Beeston gibt auf seiner Webseite an, 2013 an einem Projekt der Firma MachineGames namens »Wolfenstein« beteiligt zu sein. MachineGames ist ein relativ junges Studio, das von ehemaligen Starbreeze-Mitarbeitern gegründet und später von Zenimax/Bethesda aufgekauft wurde.
Auch die Domain wolfenstein.com wurde dem ursprünglichen Besitzer Activision abgekauft und verweist jetzt auf Bethesda/Zenimax.

At QuakeCon 2013 I got to spend some time on the newest Wolfenstein game being developed by Machine Games. It is basically a complete re-imagining/reboot of the series, but fear not for it remains true to the Wolfenstein nature with a little more seriousness thrown in there giving it more of a storyline. In the game you’ll actually be playing as two different characters, but for the demo you play as BJ Blazkowicz.

Activision veröffentlicht den Launch Trailer zu Wolfenstein. Dies gilt als ein sicheres Zeichen dafür, das Wolfenstein am Dienstag den 18.08.09 released wird.
Das PC-Magazin PC Action hatte Wolfenstein ja schon vorab getetet und eine Note vom 85% vergeben. Es erwarten uns, nächte Woche, also eine Menge geballte Action mit einem deftigen Schwierigkeitsgrad, der sogar erfahrene Wolfensteiner ins Schwitzen bringen drüfte.

No multiplayer in new Wolfenstein - MachineGames' upcoming shooter will be single-player-only experience.The upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order from Bethesda and MachineGames will not include a multiplayer component.Instead, the current- and next-generation game will strictly be a single-player title, a responsibility MachineGames does not take lightly.
"It's such a huge part of video game legacy," creative director Jens Matthies told GameSpot in a new video preview. "If there's a video game museum, Wolfenstein is in the first room. It's the start of the wave that shaped the world of gaming."
"On a personal level, I played this when I was younger and it was mind-blowing," Matthies added. "I never then of course dreamed that I was going to be working with it. It's both an honor and a legacy."
Wolfenstein:TNO ohne Multiplayer-Modus - Die Kollegen von Gamespot haben die Schweden vor Ort besucht und wissen u.a. ein paar Details zur Story zu berichten, welche ja im Jahr 1960 angesiedelt ist und darauf fußt, dass die Nazis den Zweiten Weltkrieg gewonnen und mittlerweile wohl selbst den Mond besiedelt haben. B.J. Blaskowizc sei 20 Jahre in einer Irrenanstalt festgehalten worden, heißt es da. Für den Haudegen sei die Welt genauso neu und unvertraut wie für den Spieler.Neben den üblichen Gegnern werde es in der Spielwelt auch freundliche NPCs geben, mit denen man interagieren kann und so mehr Infos und vielleicht auch ein paar Geheimtipps erhält. Dabei werde man allerlei Gegenden auf der ganzen Welt einen Besuch abstatten, z.B. die Wälder Polens bereisen oder im Berliner Untergrund tauchen. Wir tippen mal an dieser Stelle, dass das Finale oder zumindest ein Abschnitt des Spiels auf dem Mond stattfinden wird.
Dual-wielding - also das Nutzen von zwei Knarren gleichzeitig - soll bei allen Waffen, selbst Raketenwerfern, möglich sein. Das neue Setting habe einem noch mehr Freiheiten hinsichtlich der Gegner, Roboter und Waffen verschafft, so die Entwickler mit Verweis auf das "Retro-Sci-fi"-Design.
Das Studio, dessen Gründer bei Starbreeze für Spiele wie Chronicles of Riddick und The Darkness verantwortliche waren, merkte außerdem an: Wolfenstein: The New Order ist ein reines Solo-Erlebnis - einen Mehrspielerpart gebe es nicht.

On 10.11.2016, the Wolfteam turned 3 years old. This is what Thunder, Founder of The Wolfteam, had to say about the past 3 years:
"The WolfTeam was created on November 10th, 2013. As far as I remember, Mateos and Acqu were the first to join me on the idea of the creation of a helpful forum for modders and mappers of the game Wolfenstein Enemy-Territory. Since then, the community has grown and is still growing. Actually, it has become bigger than I ever hoped for. We are now, as I write this, up to 69 site members.
We have fun helping each other and even if you aren't the best in English we do our best to help you. We had a bit of a bumpy start, with website attacks and Clans that thought we would be a new rival Clan that would bring other Clans down. However, slowly but surely, people started to finally understand that we are not a Clan, that we're actually just a community, dedicated to bringing out new maps and mods for them to play.
Today, several Clan leaders and members of different parties have joined in and are creating, supporting or commenting on the stuff that we do for Wolf ET. We've always kept to the rules, "Real life comes first" and "There is nothing you HAVE to do". We are a free community where everybody can join, as long as they behave.
This year we have joined forces with ET:Legacy, to keep Wolf ET fresh and somewhat better looking in the hopes of bringing back some of the old players and maybe some new ones to the game too. As long as I see that there is activity and nice people helping each other I will keep this site going."

Wolfenstein: The New Order Pre-Orders Get DOOM Beta Access
Bethesda and MachineGames released a new trailer today for Wolfenstein: The New Order and announced the release dates for latest installment in the classic series. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be available in North America on May 29, with the European release following on May 23. The rather bloody new gameplay trailer introduces us to BJ Blazkowicz, protagonist of later Wolfenstein titles and now a resistance fighter in Nazi-controlled 1960s America. Unlike other Wolfenstein titles, The New Order is strictly a single player first person shooter.
Along with the release date and trailer, Bethesda and MachineGames announced a tempting pre-order bonus for Wolfenstein: The New Order. All pre-orders of the game will include an invitation to access the DOOM beta, details of which will come at a later time. More info about the pre-order bonus is available from the official Wolfenstein site.
Wolfenstein-Trailer BOOM BOOM kündigt Doom(4) Beta an
Bethesda hat in einem Trailer zu Wolfenstein: The New Order auch erstmals das nächste Doom-Spiel offiziell genannt. Doom 4 heißt nur noch Doom und wer Wolfenstein verbestellt, kommt später in die Multiplayer-Beta von Doom.
Zu Doom 4 gab es schon jede Menge Gerüchte, vermeintliche Konzept-Screenshots und vage Ankündigungen. Doch mit dem neuen Ingame-Trailer zum Ego-Shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order nennt der Publisher Bethesda nicht nur dessen Release-Termin (23.5.2014), sondern kündigt auch ein neues Doom -Spiel ganz offiziell an. Doom 4 wird nur noch Doom heißen und wer Wolfenstein: The New Order vorbestellt, erhält Zugang zur Doom-Beta.
Auf der Webseite von Wolfenstein veröffentlichte Bethesda ein FAQ, das erste Fragen zur Doom Beta beantwortet. Wann die Testphase von Doom beginnt, will der Publisher den Vorbestellern per E-Mail mitteilen.

Auf GameTrailers.com gibt es wieder ein Wolfenstein-Movie im schwarz-rotem ComicStyle. Insgesamt sind vier ComicStyle-Movies von Activision geplant. Dieses zweite Movie lässt uns noch tiefer in die Story, zum kommenden Wolfenstein blicken und offenbart neue Geheimnisse. Wir sind gespannt auf Video 3 und 4!

Obwohl das Spiel von der USK als "ab 18" Eingestuft wurde, wurde es hinsichtlich der Gewaltdarstellung einer sehr starken Zensur unterworfen.
Diese Modifikation beseitigt die Zensur der Gewaltdarstellung in der deutschen Version von Wolfenstein.
Von nun an hat man, wie in der US-Version, spritzendes Blut, Ragdoll-Verhalten und Körperteile lassen sich bei größeren Kalibern und Explosionen abtrennen.
Die damals in Deutschland gebräuchlichen Symbole werden durch diesen Mod nicht wiederhergestellt sondern bleiben nach wie vor zensiert.
Diese Modifikation beseitigt die Zensur der Gewaltdarstellung in der deutschen Version von Wolfenstein.
Von nun an hat man, wie in der US-Version, spritzendes Blut, Ragdoll-Verhalten und Körperteile lassen sich bei größeren Kalibern und Explosionen abtrennen.
