A little late, but better late than never.
So, 2015 has really been a great year for TWT with map releases and more members and site members joined. Also a bunch of models released too.
We have cleaned up our download section and I think our site is working good atm.
If you are a newly-started mapper to this amazing game we suggest you make yourself an account at our website as we can guarantee that you will get all the help we can give you.
Bad English is no excuse for not asking for help, for most of us here English is not our first language and we too make errors from time to time.
Our hopes for this year are that even more mappers, modders and gamers join our website and join in the discussions regarding new maps, mods etc., because player-feedback is everything.
And again, Thewolfteam is no Clan, so if you are in a Clan or Gaming Community you can still be there without any conflicts in any way. We are just a comunity of dedicated Wolfenstein Enemy Territory lovers who like to make maps and mods for this old, but amazing game.
This game still stands alone in the gaming world and no other game comes close to it.
I think we can safely say that it's the game with the most custom-made maps and mods ever.
And if you haven't tried it then you should!
We also want to encourage Clan Leaders to join us and share news with us in the proper forum. News will also be promoted from those forums to the website main page.
So what will 2016 bring?
Well, what we can say so far is that there is atleast 6-7 maps already under construction, some of which are very nearly ready to be released.
This year we will finalise all of our map projects as fast as we can and then be able to concentrate our work on model requests and mapping prefabs.
Here are some of the prefabs we think will be made this year:
-Steal Objective Prefabs-
In these archives there will be an objective to take and a delivery spot included too, which you will be able to place at different locations in your map. With a following script to simply paste into your own mapscript.
-Blow up Prefabs-
This will also be stuff that can be placed in your map with the following scripts to paste into your own mapscripts. Both Axis and Alied versions will be created, so you choose what you prefer.
-Constructible Prefabs-
With regards to these, we will always make 2 versions, one Allied and one Axis
This might include bridges, engines, waterpumps etc…
-House Prefabs-
These will be houses made either caulked or with the texturing following ET.
-Terrain Prefabs-
These will be terrains with alphablendings following the maps for you to customise in the way you like.
Also work more on our website tutorials in order to help you out in the best way we can.
We also realise that we need more map scripting tutorials, a step by step guide so people really do understand what they're reading.
So be sure to check back this year and it's always good to read a bit of feedback from you in our website guestbook.
Happy new year and all best wishes to everybody!

Happy 13th birthday, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory!
Splash Damage's first game - Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - was released exactly THIRTEEN YEARS ago. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was born on 29/05/2003. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was originally planned to be released as a commercial expansion pack to the popular FPS Return to Castle Wolfenstein and later as a standalone game.
SplashDamage@Twitter: To celebrate #WolfET's birthday we're giving away this signed copy! #RetweetToWin - Winner chosen @ random!
However, due to problems with the single-player aspect, the multiplayer portion was released on 29 May 2003 as a freeware standalone game.
In January 2004, the source code for the game logic (not the game engine) was released to the benefit of its modding community.
The game uses a modified Return to Castle Wolfenstein engine, itself being a heavily modified Quake III: Team Arena engine (id Tech 3, which has been open-source since 2005).
As of the first day of the 2010 QuakeCon, 12 August the entire source code was released under the GNU General Public License v3.Multiple source ports have been started.
While the attempts made by OpenWolf and ET:Xreal concentrate on innovating the renderer, the most active community project ET: Legacy focuses on fixing issues by backporting improvements from ioquake3 while staying binary compatible to the original game client, server and its mods.

Enemy Territory 2 - A Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Remake Project
Long-time "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" fan and member of the "Crossfire.nu" gaming community, who goes by the name of Chubb, has assembled a Devteam in order to begin a project that we've all hoped we'd see one day, a modern recreation of our beloved "Wolf: ET" on a brand new gaming engine.
The "alpha" stage has now begun and the map that has been the main focus for now is the classic custom "ETPro" map, "Supply Depot". Here's what Chubb had to say about recent project developments and the progress made so far:
"We'd like to thank everyone for the amazing feedback via Youtube, Instagram and on the Crossfire.nu. website. Thank you to all of our donors too, your support definitely gave us a boost. We invite everyone to actively take part in our contest and we’ll consider every suggestion." - Chubb

ET Masterlist hacking and redirect fix for players 1.0.0
ET (Enemy Territory) has been messed up lately with master list redirect and hacking issues. In order to stop it, please download the ET.exe and replace your current one. Patch is for all ET players playing from Windows OS
Someone has recently been exploiting a flaw in 2.60b ET where when you go to play online, it immediately connects you to a server the attacker is spamming the masterlist server with, so you can't actually choose where you want to play.
ET 2.55, 2.60 or ETLegacy aren't affected, only 2.60b, because they don't have the redirect feature.
Steps -
1. Download the 2 file ET.exe and ETPRO.exe.
2. Replace the ET.exe with the downloaded ET.exe.
3. Use ET.exe to play on all mods except ETPro. For playing on ETPro mod, use ETPRO.exe.
Please share this file to all your friends and ask them to patch their ET with this one. Please report on forums for any issues, if any.
Note - New patch will also stop players redirecting from fake ET redirect servers. It's about time we focus towards good gaming experience for all new ET players.
Note 2 - If any new issues, we might try to fix that as well or revert back or provide complete new patch. So please subscribe to this file download. If file gets updated you will get notification, so you can stay up to date.
IMP Note - Please don't download the file from other sites or source, as some may try to inject virus/trojans and spread the copy of it. I take full responsibility of this file on our website and 100% guarantee it doesn't have any back-doors. So my humble request - please be careful i.e. from where you download the files and what servers you play on.

UAC - Universal Anti-cheat 3 was discontinued as of 1.January.2014
The decision was made after we came to conclusion that our lifestyle has changed in those eight years and we have no more the free time needed to provide quality support of UAC. Please keep in mind that we are no company, only two guys who did this whole thing in their free time with no income from it whatsoever. The decision was hard to make, trust me. However it was for the best, because nobody want's to use outdated and unsupported software.
Universal Anti-cheat was client side anti cheat system created by Slovak software developer Dalibor Bartoš aka DExUS.
It was initially created in year 2005 then later in 2006 it was rebuilt to support SWAT4 community with wide SWAT4 cheat detections and in 2009 with UAC2 32 games were supported. The interest and popularity grew and thus UAC3 was created to accommodate all needs of the leagues.
UAC was free to use for everyone without any fee for whole time of it's existence with regular updates and fast tech support.
It was used in many leagues around the world, mentioning just some of them as Clanbase, ESL, CyberGamer and many more.
As of today 31.dec.2013 it had ~300 000 users and supporting 44 popular games like all Call of Duty titles, Battlefield, SWAT4 etc.
In order to function UAC used it's own dedicated server with customized linux OS for best performance with low bandwidth.
The web/database side was managed by Snipes in the early era of UAC (2005-2010) and later by Shii (2010-2013) who has created UAC3 pages and database system.
If you want to read more about the history of UAC it was pretty much sumarized
